Abstract
Gallbladder disease is one of the most common abdominal conditions requiring the attention of the pediatric surgeon. In this chapter, we review the etiology of stone disease and types of presentation from inflammatory conditions of the gallbladder and biliary tree. We outline the phenomenon of biliary disease and explore the diagnostic algorithms for patients with biliary symptoms. In addition, we compare the treatment options and examine the published outcomes to date.
