Abstract

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) in children is a complex condition that requires assessments and interventions by multiple medical specialties. Optimal management is unknown at present and is backed by low-level data. Due to their prevalence, immense study is currently aimed at solving the challenges of these injuries, and much progress has been made. The goal here is to elaborate on the patterns of pediatric TBI, anatomical considerations of infants and children, TBI pathophysiology, and treatment of the brain-injured infant and child.
